Mit Farbapparat 2 eröffnet Ende April 2026 eine farbintensive Gruppenausstellung im Monopol Berlin / Apparatehaus. Gemeinsam mit Christine Buchwald, Johanna Keimeyer, Oliver Lanz, Katharina Trudzinski und Bernd Wolf bin ich Teil dieser Ausstellung, die Malerei, Skulptur, Video und Installation in einen gemeinsamen räumlichen Zusammenhang bringt.

Ich konnte verschiedene Malereien auf Leinwand und Papierarbeiten zeigen. Des Weiteren habe ich in einem Raum eine immersive Video-Lichtinstallation realisiert. Mit gespannten Schnüren und Bändern entstand ein dreidimensionaler Raum, der durch Projektionen auf verschiedenen Ebenen aktiviert wurde.

Auf verschiedenen Ebenen der fünf Floors konnte ich eine Vielzahl von Arbeiten zeigen. Die Ausstellung ermöglichte einen direkten Dialog zwischen Malerei, Licht, Video, Installation und dem besonderen industriellen Raum des Monopol Berlin. Bilder meiner Arbeiten sind unten zu sehen.

Die Ausstellung öffnet das Apparatehaus und den Raum von 0800naturescalling für ein erweitertes Zusammenspiel von Farbe, Materialität, Objekt, Bild und Installation. Für mich ist dieses Projekt auch deshalb interessant, weil es einen anderen Fokus als die großen öffentlichen Lichtkunstprojekte setzt: Hier steht die räumliche Nähe, die physische Präsenz der Arbeiten und der Dialog mit anderen künstlerischen Positionen und dem besonderen Raum im Vordergrund.

Im Kontext meiner Arbeit bildet die Ausstellung einen wichtigen Gegenpol zu meinen großformatigen Außenprojektionen. Während Lichtkunst im Außenraum häufig ephemer, situationsbezogen und stark an Ort, Atmosphäre und Publikum gebunden ist, geht es im Ausstellungsraum stärker um Verdichtung, Material, Bildlogik und die direkte körperliche Erfahrung der Arbeiten. Gerade diese Spannung zwischen Studioarbeit, Ausstellung und temporären Lichtinstallationen prägt meine künstlerische Praxis in besonderer Weise.

With Farbapparat 2, a vivid and multi-layered group exhibition opens at the end of April 2026 at Monopol Berlin / Apparatehaus. Together with Christine Buchwald, Johanna Keimeyer, Oliver Lanz, Katharina Trudzinski, and Bernd Wolf, I am part of an exhibition bringing together painting, sculpture, video, and installation in a shared spatial setting.

I was able to present several paintings on canvas and works on paper. In addition, I created an immersive video-light installation in one room. Using stretched cords and bands, I developed a three-dimensional spatial structure activated by projections on multiple layers.

Across the different levels of the five floors, I was able to show a wide range of works. The exhibition created a direct dialogue between painting, light, video, installation, and the specific industrial architecture of Monopol Berlin. Images of my works can be seen below.

The exhibition opens the Apparatehaus and the space of 0800naturescalling for an expanded dialogue of color, material, object, image, and installation. For me, this project is especially interesting because it shifts the focus away from large-scale public light art and toward proximity, spatial presence, and exchange with other artistic positions and the space itself.

Within my practice, this exhibition forms an important counterpoint to my outdoor projection works. While public light art is often ephemeral, atmospheric, and highly dependent on site and audience, the exhibition space allows for concentration on materiality, image logic, and direct bodily perception. This tension between studio work, exhibition making, and temporary light installations is a central aspect of my artistic practice.
