Chemnitz – Yellow Lounge x European Capital of Culture

Im Rahmen des offiziellen Programms der Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 fand am 27. Mai eine besondere Yellow Lounge im Club Atomino statt. Auf der Bühne standen die Pianistin Marie Awadis sowie Mandolinist Avi Avital mit Ensemble. Ergänzt wurde der Abend durch ein energiegeladenes DJ-Set von Eva Be.

Philipp Geist begleitete die Veranstaltung mit einer ortsspezifischen Live-Visual-Art-Installation. Projektionen, Licht und bewegte Bilder verwandelten den Club in eine immersive Landschaft aus Klang und Bild. Die Visuals traten in einen Dialog mit der Musik, ließen Strukturen, Farben und Atmosphären entstehen und intensivierten so das kollektive Konzerterlebnis.

Seit über 20 Jahren begleitet Geist die Yellow Lounge mit audiovisuellen Konzepten und Projektionen, die die Grenzen zwischen Klassik, Clubkultur und zeitgenössischer Kunst auflösen.

As part of the official program of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, a special edition of the Yellow Lounge took place on May 27 at Club Atomino. Pianist Marie Awadis and mandolinist Avi Avital with ensemble delivered outstanding live performances, joined by a brilliant DJ set from Eva Be.

Philipp Geist contributed a site-specific live visual art installation. Projections, light, and moving images turned the club into an immersive landscape of sound and visuals. The visuals engaged in a dialogue with the music, unfolding structures, colors, and atmospheres that intensified the collective experience.

For over two decades, Geist has been shaping the Yellow Lounge with audiovisual concepts and projection art, bridging classical music, club culture, and contemporary art.
